Tijana Zderic a third-year MFA student of creative writing and poetry. Originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina and survivor of its 1990s genocide, her poetry deals with trauma produced by acts of war between nations, within societies and families, and within oneself. She is currently in the process of completing her first manuscript while working on a book-length translation of a well known Croatian writer and poet, Miroslav Krleža.
