DeWitt John Makengo is an international student from the Democratic Republic of Congo studying in the US. He is a Mass Communication major with a concentration in Multiplatform at Principia College. DeWitt is a filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist whose research focuses on the history of origins. He is currently working on his first documentary film, Trial to the Future. Makengo’s short story, “Promising Eyebrows, but Odd” receives the Mistake House Magazine Fiction Prize for Issue 9.
